For many years, Abington Friends School has worked with volunteers from across the region to hold an inspirational day of service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to support the broader community.

This year, they will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the historic March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech while drawing inspiration from Langston Hughes’ powerful poem, “Harlem.”

Through panel discussions, workshops, service projects, and interactive sessions, Abington Friends School aims to spark conversations about the unfulfilled aspirations that continue to shape our lives, communities, and the path to social justice.
