The Kelce brothers Christmas duet has not only topped the charts but it was also an emotional experience for them.

“Fairytale of Philadelphia,” a localized version of the Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York,” that topped the Billboard charts, was also an emotional experience for Jason Kelce, writes Katie Bowlby for Country Living as reported in Women’s Health.

The Kelce brothers Christmas duet was sung by Eagles center. Jason Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, for a second Christmas album that featured three members of the Philadelphia Eagles team.

“A Philly Special Christmas Special Album” included the singing talents of Eagles teammates Kelce, Jordan Lailata, and Lane Johnson.

Jason had called his brother to ask him to join him on the song, comparing their relationship to the story in the song—”two people fighting but who really love each other.” Jason told Travis.

When it came time to record the song, Jason got emotional singing some of the lyrics.

“Happy Christmas, I love ya, brother, I can see a better time when all our dreams come true,” he belted out.

The two join together for the lyric, “I’ve built my dreams around you.”

Fans were affected by the recording, leaving comments like, “Crying with emotion” and “CRIED!! Song is so good. These brothers adore each other.”
