As we head into the winter holidays, those summer days down the shore may seem worlds away. Don’t worry though, here are some upcoming new developments planned for The Wildwoods to hold you over until the summer months return.

There are 11 development plans planned to reinvigorate The Wildwoods, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Hundreds of millions of dollars are being invested into North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest to add more hotels, and vacation rentals and makeover the Wildwood boardwalk.

One of those projects is a five-phase project to refurbish the two-and-a-half-mile boardwalk. The renovation will include new boards, handrails, and lighting. Currently, the project is in Phase 3.

Another of the projects is a new bayside marina with 54 boat slips, 16 residential units, and a tiki bar off of Andrews Avenue in Wildwood’s back bay. It is still in the planning stages.

There will also be more entertainment in The Wildwoods. The Harbor Inn which had guests for more than 70 years is being tuned into a commercial beer garden.

Mud Hen Brewing Co. will also be adding to the music offerings down the shore with a new live music venue that will be called the Station House.
