Popular Montco Restaurateurs Buy North Wildwood Property, Plan New Sit-Down Restaurant

Montco restaurateurs behind Il Granaio and The Library are opening a new North Wildwood restaurant ahead of the 2026 summer season.

A trio of Montco restaurateurs is taking their culinary footprint down the Shore, according to Emma Dooling with The Philadelphia Business Journal.

Partners Gent Mema, Joshua Friedberg, and Orbelin Bitraj have purchased the former Trio North Wildwood property at 700 New Jersey Ave. The property will be the setting of a brand-new sit-down restaurant ahead of the 2026 summer season.

The team is well known locally for its growing portfolio that includes Antica in Chadds Ford, Versante in Schwenksville, The Library in Collegeville, and two Il Granaio locations in Glen Mills and Phoenixville. While most of their concepts lean Italian, the partners say the name and menu for the new North Wildwood restaurant are still being finalized.

The group acquired the building and liquor license from longtime owners Debbie and Paul Gioquindo and Chef Gus Zimmerman, who opened Trio in 2021 after a full renovation.

Friedberg said the partners were drawn to North Wildwood as Shore real estate continues to surge and demand grows for higher-end dining options. Their goal is to open in time for peak summer crowds in 2026.

For fans of the restaurateurs’ hometown locations, this new place could be a taste of home while on vacation
