TruMark Financial Credit Union based in Fort Washington has added an 8-person commercial lending team from Citizens Financial Services to its roster, writes Jeff Blumenthal for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The acquisition of the team led by Daniel Krewson will double TruMark’s own commercial lending department.

Citizens Financial’s Daniel Krewson will now serve as TruMark’s director of commercial loan origination.

At Citizens Financial, he was the southeast Pennsylvania regional president, managing the commercial lending team there.

Krewson has brought his whole team over with him, including Derek Warden, director of loan policy and administration, and Jack Eckhardt, director of government banking.

On the acquisition, Kelly Botti, CEO of TruMark said, “We have a really well-established commercial program but were looking to diversify product suites and deepen our market knowledge.”

Botti added that Krewson and his team are well-known in the banking community and have been of interest to TruMark for a while.
