Manor College will receive $1,473,974 in federal funding over five years.

Manor College is a recipient of a Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education which will be a “life-changing event” for its students, according to Dr. Jonathn Peri, president of Manor College.

He said it is “like winning the education lottery,” adding that “Title III is a very competitive grant. It is a huge infusion of funding to help our students achieve their goals.”

The grant is awarded to educational institutions to help strengthen academic quality, management, and fiscal stability, writes the staff at the Northeast Times.

Manor College will receive $1,473,974 in federal funding over five years.

The money is slated to be used to help build a career center, implement early-academic-alert software, and expand the college’s summer bridge program which assists first-year students as they transition to college.

Dr. Julie Senecoff, Dean of Arts and Sciences at the college, said, “Manor College has always felt like a place where if you want to succeed, we can help you get there. This grant reinforces that philosophy. If students are struggling and feel like they can’t do it, we’re able to provide support and services to help them achieve their goals and succeed.”
