Eataly, an Italian food and dining emporium, will open in King of Prussia Mall in 2025. It will be Eataly’s first Philadelphia-area location.

King of Prussia Mall General Manager Bob Hart recently shared an update on an upcoming new addition to the mall.

Eataly, an Italian food and dining emporium, will open in King of Prussia Mall in 2025, writes Paul Schwedelson for Philadelphia Business Journal.

It will be Eataly’s first Philadelphia-area location.

The marketplace will require 23,000 square feet of space so mall owner Simon Property Group is making room by combining space previously occupied by a Rite Aid, a common entrance area, and space that previously belonged to Forever 21.

The buildout of the new marketplace is expected to begin next year.

Eataly locations typically include multiple restaurants like La Pizza & La Pasta which serves Napoli-style pizza and artisanal pasta and an Italian food mega-marketplace which sells fresh pasta, wine and cheese.

There will also be a butcher and a bakery on the premise.

“It will enhance the mall. It’ll be another reason to come and shop at King of Prussia Mall,” Hart said.

“It’ll be a unique restaurant that is not found elsewhere in our market. Those types of establishments do well here at the mall…”
