The European-style cafe Cafesphere being opened by Magdalena Pasciak and her husband Pawel, comes with a roof deck and a mural from a local artist. It's opening in Media in October.

Cafesphere, a European-style cafe with a roof deck, is opening at 25 E. State Street in Media this October, writes Emmag Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 1,500-square-foot café will seat 60 people and cover two stories.

It’s the creation of entrepreneur and Delaware County resident Magdalena Pasciak. She and her husband, Pawel, began outfitting the space for a café after acquiring the mixed-used building in 2022.

Cafesphere will serve coffee with beans from OX Coffee, a South Philadelphia roaster. There will also be zero-proof cocktails, matcha, teas, and hot chocolate.

Baked goods and desserts such as croissants, baguettes, vanilla custard beignets, and yogurt parfaits, along with chocolate mousse cakes from Philadelphia bakery Cake & Joe, will be sold.

Pasciak opened the café after having trouble finding coffee she liked out in the suburbs.

“My hope is that the community welcomes us with open arms and enjoys the vibe, the coffee, and the whole experience as much as we’ve loved building this new addition to the neighborhood,” she said in a statement.

Cafesphere will include a wall mural of “Media’s hidden treasures” painted by local artist Claudia Buchanan

A 400-square-foot roof deck has views of downtown Media.
