A Fort Washington singer-songwriter is slated to release her second single today. Sadie Leigh’s music went viral during the pandemic, and appearing on American Idol only gave her artistry more clout, writes Ryan Genova for Around Ambler.

“Boys Don’t Cry” comes after her first single, “Attendance Record” that dropped in June along with a music video. “Attendance Record” has so far amassed over 90,000 streams on Spotify.

Leigh has been singing since age seven, so it’s no surprise that the Temple alumna can perform in front of live crowds. The singer recently performed at Wonderland Fishtown this July.

“It was so fun, like, so intimate, just a bunch of people hanging out, sharing music,” she said “It’s those kinds of shows where you really feel like an artist, when you’re just surrounded by other artists it’s such a cool feeling.”
