Love was in the air in Collegeville, where The Bachelorette contestant Joey Graziadei, a West Chester University graduate, took star Charity Lawson for a hometown date, writes Franki Rudnesky for PhillyVoice

In the episode of the popular show that aired on July 31, Graziadei introduced Lawson to his family and played some tennis with her.

Graziadei, who grew up in Royersford, played tennis at West Chester. He graduated in 2017 with a major in communication and media studies. He has since moved to Hawaii, where he teaches tennis.

Despite now being an islander, Graziadei still supports Philadelphia teams and has posted pictures on his Instagram wearing Phillies gear.

Graziadei has become a fan favorite throughout the season and has managed to build a strong relationship with Lawson. During last week’s episode, he confessed he was falling in love with her.

On Monday, he used the opportunity to continue strengthening their relationship by introducing Lawson to his family, something he has previously stressed the importance of for himself.

“Family does mean the world to me,” he said.
