A Bryn Mawr plastic surgeon is going viral for his clear and detailed explanation of a deep plane facelift surgery. Dr. R. Brannon Claytor is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in facelift techniques. The video he posted online garnered 14,000 views and received plenty of positive feedback.

“I wasn’t thinking about publishing a video on YouTube when I filmed it,” Dr. Claytor says.

“I was just thinking about what I would want you to know about this surgical procedure. Watching it now, it’s fun to realize I may have filmed a particularly helpful video on a topic that people are interested in and I’m glad it has a larger audience.”

This procedure is for patients who want to change their jowls, neck, and cheeks due to aging. The surgery requires incisions to be made along the ear and hairline. It is meant to reposition the face’s retaining ligaments.
