While Gen Z has long bemoaned skinny jeans for men, Norristown resident Kwame Stroman said that older generations are still embracing the clothing trend, writes Jacob Gallagher for The Wall Street Journal.

He certainly has the numbers on his side. Skinny and slim-stretch denim still make up the majority of sales in men’s denim, according to industry experts.

Stroman is fully aware, just as many other 20-, 30-, and 40-something wearers of skinny jeans are as well, that the TikTok generation thinks they are passe.

“I’m like, how did I become the old head?” said Stroman, 28, who works in entertainment programming in Philadelphia.

His usual attire is Lenny Kravitz and 1970s-fashion-inspired skinny jeans he wears with Cuban-heeled Chelsea boots for “a more sophisticated look.”

For him, anti-skinny-jean sentiment is something that is happening mostly online and does not translate onto the streets.
