Addison Bay, a women’s athletic-leisure clothing brand sold in an Ardmore boutique, has created a new line of handbags that blend functionality and style. Elizabeth Wellington covered the product introductions in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The accessories emerged from a creative effort between Addison Bay’s Marguerite Adzik and Neely & Chloe, a pair of sisters designing popular bags from their New York firm. One of their totes was a 2017 pick as an Oprah favorite thing.

The collaboration among these three creative businesswomen has produced five signature styles. All of them feature an exclusive floral print inspired by French artist Henri Matisse.

Adzik founded Addison Bay in 2018 as an online retailer of sports-crossover clothing (leggings, sports bras, jackets, etc.). She went brick-and-mortar in Avalon in 2021 on a seasonal schedule, and in 2022, she migrated to Montgomery County for year-round operations.

Adzik and the Burch sisters met in 2018 and bonded over their shared experiences in navigating fashion start-ups.

The line they crafted in unison was in answer to what they felt was a market void.

“We wanted to create a handbag collection for women who are constantly on the go and crave a collection of bags and accessories that can keep up with her busy lifestyle,” Adzik said.

More on Addison Bay is at The Philadelphia Inquirer.
