MedCoShare, a Philadelphia-based company, is opening its third co-working space for medical professionals, this one in King of Prussia, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Ronak Vyas, MedCoShare’s co-founder and CEO, said that the idea for the company came to him after he saw how popular co-working spaces were for tech companies and other businesses.

“Nobody was doing it in medical,” he said. “I did some research and found there were some companies doing it in Arizona and New York, but nobody in the Philadelphia region. So, we became the first.”

He founded MedCoShare with Greg Goldmacher, Anthony Khan and Amit Mundade in 2020. The idea was to provide an alternative to doctors and other medical professionals who didn’t need or couldn’t afford their own private offices.

Vyas said that he hopes the company will grow to have hundreds of sites and be the first national medical co-working space company.

MedCoShare also provides extra services for a fee such as medical assistants and marketing support.

The King of Prussia site located at 170 North Henderson Road is scheduled to open June 1. The renters include Blue Ocean Health, a direct primary care practice founded by Drs. Matthew Kavalek and Ryan Gannon.
