Conshohocken is popular — despite its multisyllabic name — for being a small town with big city convenience. The Schuylkill River berg has an abundance of small businesses, shops, and eateries. Jamie Joffe of Main Line Tonight moved to the suburban hub in 2017 and has an insider’s recommendations on places to check out in this Montgomery County borough.

Dessert

Conshohocken Bakery is popular for its cannolis. The 50-year-old Italian bakery has been voted Best Bakery on the Best of Philly HotList for five years running, with good reason.

Seafood

Fayette Street Oyster House offers more than just oysters. Guests can splurge on a $45 lobster and crab dinner from Sunday through Thursday. Patrons can also sip on specialty cocktails.

Nightlife

The Gypsy Saloon is a one-stop shop for a fun night out. The restaurant and bar have an abundant menu with weekly dinner specials, such as $10 wagyu cheeseburgers. There is also live music daily.

Shopping

Check out Sanctuary Blu, a retail boutique that features unique gifts like vintage jewelry, handmade baby toys, and clothing.
