Some of the new looks available at Skirt in Bryn Mawr, which has a new look itself.

Like a model who prefers to spiff up her look in private Skirt, a Bryn Mawr clothing boutique, closed for a month to freshen its brand, merchandise, and location. Melissa Jacobs reported the results in Main Line Tonight.

For the past 22 years, Skirt has been owned and operated by Maureen Conallen Doron. She decided to give it a top-to-bottom refresh to ensure its position as “ … place where women find community.”

She tapped local professionals to do the work, including the new logo that was crafted by Two Paper Dolls in Wayne.

In addition to its regular brands — Veronica Beard, L’Agence, Mother, Sablyn, Max Mara — Skirt’s racks now carry wears created by designers that include:

  • Joseph
  • Alanui sweaters
  • Juliet Dunn resort wear
  • Officine Generale
  • Victoria Beckham
  • DMN
  • Lela Rose
  • AMI
  • Blaze Milano
  • Jason Wu

Doron has also instituted a buyer-loyalty program that includes free alterations and a shot at a fashion week trip to New York City.
