CEO Douglas Yearley Jr. says the company’s record-setting fiscal third-quarter sales are proof that the strategy was successful.

For the eighth year running, Toll Brothers — the Fort Washington–headquartered builder of luxury homes — has topped Fortune magazine’s list of most admired companies of 2023. The distinction recognized the company in the home builder subset of commercial entities worldwide.

Fortune’s analysts worked with partner Korn Ferry, a Los Angeles management consultant, to peer into 645 of the world’s highest revenue-producing companies across 52 industries in 27 countries.

Executives, directors, and Wall Street pundits were asked to rate companies in their own industries on criteria that included:

  • Investment value
  • Financial soundness
  • Quality of management
  • Quality of products
  • Innovation
  • Social responsibility
  • People management

Douglas Yearley, chairman and chief executive officer of Toll Brothers, commented on the distinction of earning the top home builder spot on the worldwide list of most admired companies: “All of us at Toll Brothers are focused on upholding our reputation for quality, value, and service built over the past 56 years.

“I would like to thank every Toll Brothers employee for their commitment to excellence and to serving our customers.

“We appreciate this tremendous recognition within the home building industry and the larger business community.”
