A Flourtown Wawa received a $5,000 bonus for selling a scratch-off ticket to a lucky patron.

The Wawa store at 1601 Bethlehem Pike sold a $1 million winning ticket, precipitating the financial recognition from the state.

According to an online map from the Pa. Lottery website, there are now 40+ Montgomery County Wawa locations selling tickets, covering the geographical alphabet from Ambler to Wyndmoor.

Statewide, lottery scratch-off winners claimed more than $221 million in prizes in January, including one top prize worth $5 million claimed by a Philadelphia resident.

The PA Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents.

Additional information on winners and playing are at the PA Lottery website.
