Harleysville Bride Sees Color for the First Time at Her Dream Wedding
A Harleysville bride was able to fulfill her lifelong dream on her wedding day. Kristin Robinson saw color for the first time while getting married at the onsite wedding pavilion at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Kaycee Sloan reported the joyous moment for WFLA.
Robinson has deuteranopia, which makes it hard for her to see shades of reds and greens.
She wore special glasses that help people with colorblindness see the world around them.
For the big reveal, her wedding was decked out in pink flower arrangements so Robinson could see the color she’s been missing all her life.
Seeing her husband, Nick, for the first time in color was a surreal experience, she said. Her father and brothers, who are also color blind, joined her in wearing the glasses.
Robinson was also able to view the theme park’s iconic architecture in vibrant colors, including Cinderella Castle. The reception was followed by an explosive and magical firework display.
