Montgomery County Community College invites applications for its part-time administrative Support Secretary, Talent Management & Leadership Development position.

This important role supports to the college’s talent management, leadership development, and faculty development efforts. Its part-time structure covers 25 hours per week over four days.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This career opportunity requires facility with tasks that include the following:

  • Coordinating the ordering of supplies, food, and travel to support leadership development, talent management, faculty development, and additional initiatives through the Office of the Administrative Services. These tasks require:
    • Submitting requisitions and marketing requests
    • Maintaining purchase orders
    • Assisting the unit director
  • Tracking, filing, and organizing all related paperwork for unit, including:
    • Faculty development
    • Professional development training
    • Orientation
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments, committees, events, training invites, and meetings to support leadership development, talent management, and faculty development
  • Greeting visitors, faculty, and staff.
  • Providing general information regarding policies, procedures, and additional requests

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Candidates will be evaluated along criteria that include the following requirements:

  • Education, Training, and Work Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Six months of directly applicable formal training or equivalent on-the-job training
    • Communication and computer skills
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
    • Knowledge of specific software or processes
    • Customer service experience
  • Additional abilities:
    • Multitasking
    • Attention to detail
    • Prioritizing workloads
    • Succeeding in a team-oriented setting
