Online App Lists Montco Residents Whose Halloween Lawn Décor Is Gruesomely Grand and Ickily Intricate
Outdoor Halloween decorations have come a long way since the days of a hastily hacked jack o’ lantern on the porch with a sputtering candle inside. A new app, FrightMaps, shows just how far they’ve come in Montgomery County.
Investopedia calls Halloween the second-biggest retail holiday, behind only Christmas. Its financial analysts estimate that Americans spent $10.1 billion on spooky things in 2021, including decorations, which have recently taken a frighteningly big leap in tech at downright shocking price tags.
But that tech is also making neighborhood Halloween décor far more engaging — and accessible.
FrightMaps, an app, enables homeowners to highlight their home-based horrors for others to drive by and enjoy.
It’s also got a local connection, having been designed by a dad in Delaware County, according to Philadelphia Magazine.
Its listings help festive fans find frightfully fun folderol for free.
Montgomery County entries include:
- Spooky Season, 1325 Redwood Lane, Norristown.

=
- The Haunt of 58, 64 Diamond St., Souderton.
=
=
- Jack’s Pumpkin Patch, 2438–2498 Lamott Ave, Willow Grove.
=
=
- Zisk Family Light Show, 1421 Reiner Dr., Norristown.

Beware (how apropos) that FrightMaps data may ebb and flow over time in terms of accuracy. And visitors should be respectful of properties and safe in after-dark traffic flow when viewing the spooky spectacles.
