Stacy Thorwart spent years designing offices before deciding to use her talents to renovate the home she and her husband bought in Wynnewood during the pandemic, writes Eileen Smith Dallabrida for Main Line Today.

It was not an ideal time, as there was a shortage of labor and materials and she had a toddler and a baby on the way, but Thorwart made it work. The heart of the renewed home is its bright and airy kitchen that feels more spacious than its footprint.

“Taking down the wall between the kitchen and dining room meant there’s no longer that defined formal space for dining,” said Thorwart. “But it was worth it for day-to-day living.”

The dining area has an air of elegance with wainscoting and bold wallpaper. The kitchen emits a vintage vibe with a farmhouse sink and the subway tile backsplash. The charming living room is anchored by a steel-blue sofa, with built-in cabinetry flanking a bay window.

The redesign went so well that Thorwart now owns a design firm, Saturday Interiors.

“I’m so glad I took the plunge,” she said.
