El Limon Mexican Taqueria is continuing its expansion in the Greater Philadelphia area with a soon-to-open location in downtown Glenside, writes Jon Campisi for Patch.

The popular Mexican eatery will be opening a new spot on Wesley Avenue off Easton Road in a space once home to Ann’s Kitchen Table.

News of the opening was greeted with excitement by residents in the area.

“Looks great,” wrote Bob Weiler on a Facebook neighbors’ group in the Glenside area. “Glad to see a good southwest restaurant come to the area.”

“That would be great, we love them!” wrote Lauren Jankowski.

The franchise business is named after the Mexican town where the original owners lived. It was founded 12 years ago in Conshohocken and has grown to include more than 20 locations throughout the Philadelphia region.

In addition to Montgomery County, the chain also has restaurants in Chester, Delaware, and Bucks counties, as well as Northeast Philadelphia.

The opening date for the newest location in Glenside has yet to be announced.

The business offers a bonus to diners who enjoy their meal inside: They are treated to complimentary margaritas.

Some of the regional locations also offer outdoor dining.
