El Limon Taqueria will be opening its tenth location in Flourtown, at the space that was the former home of the Flourtown Bakery, writes April Lisante for the Chestnut Hill Local.

The local favorite is owned by Karina Vargas and her husband Isaias Dominguez and business partners Manuel Carbajal Ruiz and Carmen Zepeda. It has its flagship location in Conshohocken and eight more eateries sprinkled around Montgomery and Chester counties.

The owners are determined to open the latest addition by the end of the month.

“We love to open restaurants and bring the food,” said Vargas. “Now we are franchising existing ones and ready to open new ones even after this.”

El Limon opened its first location in 2010 in Conshohocken. It based its concept on serving fresh and inexpensive but high-quality Mexican food.

That is why today there are no freezers in any of the restaurants. Instead, each meal is made fresh and to order.

The menu is simple. Customers can mix and match burritos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and quesadillas with green, red, and mole sauces. These are accompanied by heaping portions of rice and refried beans on the side.
