Playfly Sports, the sports marketing and media company, is opening a new office in Berwyn that will serve as its first true headquarters. Bret McCormick filed the play-by-play for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The company will make its new home in a three-story, 11,000-square-foot space at 22 Cassatt Avenue. Playfly executives see the move as a unifying strategy; until now, Playfly’s 400 employees were scattered across 31 states.

Measures are in place to certainly make the 40-60 employees feel welcome as they arrive at the end of February. The office will feature a one-on-one basketball court, football-turfed second level, and a mezzanine level that will look like a sports stadium’s skybox.

“We wanted you to walk into our office and feel that energy, like you’re almost walking into a stadium,” said Playfly Founder and CEO Michael Schreiber.

Playfly was formed two years ago out of the acquisition of Outfront Media Sports. Since then, the company has grown rapidly, recording double-digit revenue growth across all of its businesses.

The headquarters is located close to the SEPTA line to Philadelphia, a proximity the business leaders felt was important. “We wanted to make sure we’re not in some corporate office park somewhere,” said Schreiber.
