Tickets are now on sale for three March performances that are part of the WCU Live! Performing Arts Series and the President’s Speaker Series at West Chester University.

All performances take place in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, located in the Philips Memorial Building at 700 South High Street. More information is available online.

The shows are the first staged since COVID-19 paused productions in March 2020.

“As the university continues to require mask-wearing inside all facilities, as well as follow guidelines recommended by the CDC, we invite members of our surrounding community to return to our campus come March to enjoy family-friendly and excellent entertainment offerings,” said John Villella, WCU’s Chief of Staff and Vice President for University Affairs.

On Friday, March 4 at 7 PM, Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix will leave audiences howling with laughter with his personality plus canines. Starring mostly rescue dogs Johnny leads through challenging and hilarious tricks, this show has been hailed as “a truly funny, slapstick dog act.”

Saturday, March 12 at 4 PM welcomes back Artrageous, a one-of-a-kind “all arts” show that will amaze with its high energy and heart-pounding action as arts and music collide. Often described as Blue Man Group meets Picasso, this show is perfect for every age.

On Saturday, March 19 at 8 PM, Broadway’s Christopher Jackson (George Washington in Hamilton) will speak with WCU President Christopher Fiorentino as part of the President’s Speaker Series. Jackson shares his remarkable journey from a small town in Illinois to performing for a constantly packed house on Broadway. He reveals lessons he’s learned throughout his career and the mentors, mantras, and moments that made a difference, as well as behind-the-scenes information from Broadway’s biggest hit.

All faculty, staff, students, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when indoors. Face masks may be worn when outdoors, but it is not an obligation of this policy notice. Selecting one of the following options will comply with the university’s mask requirements: a surgical mask, a surgical mask with a cloth mask worn over it, or a KN95 mask (or the equivalent).

Mask and COVID-19 safety measures at West Chester University will continue to be updated here. Please check ahead for updated information before attending your performance.
