Graphic designer Christine Dorn of Norristown is one of the Philadelphia Eagles creative team members who volunteered their design expertise and technical assistance to provide much-needed help to several local nonprofits in 2021, writes Kevin Riordan for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Even established nonprofits do not have staff that oversees their social media accounts, annual reports, and promotional materials. Such media is crucial to effective messaging and fund-raising.

“We told the nonprofits, ‘You don’t have to worry about finding the talent. We’re taking this off your plate,’” said Philadelphia Eagles Creative Director Sean Flanagan.

To assist the 13 small- and medium-size nonprofits in the Philadelphia region, the team provided 200 hours of service throughout the year valued at $52,000.

They also worked with a Virginia housing agency and are considering expanding their services further outside the area this year.

Among other projects, Dorn helped the Phoenixville Area Time Bank create an annual report on how the mom-and-pop organization managed to overcome challenges during the first year of the pandemic.

The work, which comprised about 10 percent of the creative team’s workload, was done mostly during the Eagles off-season.
