Pennsylvania is well known for being a favorite state of hot dog aficionados, owing to its many and varied offerings. PhillyBite Magazine recently rated a local shop as a top-dog vendor: Harry’s Hotdogs in Sadsburyville in nearby Chester County.

The eatery is located in the Sadsburyville Hotel, a place that George Washington once frequented.

After changing hands several times over the last century, the hotel was reopened in 1973 by Harry and Athena Lymberis.

Even decades later, the restaurant stood as one of the best places to eat a hot dog in the state and is still very popular today.

For years, it also served as a popular stop for basketball referees and is better known by locals and regulars as “Harry’s Famous Hotdogs.”
