A brand-new, dazzling outdoor holiday light experience is coming to The Fairgrounds at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, beginning November 26.

“Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular presented by Dietz & Watson” will bring the magic of the holiday season to Montgomery County and beyond through an immersive, one-of-a-kind event.

Guests can stroll through a winter wonderland of lights, check gifts off their holiday shopping list, dine on festive treats and beverages (including adult beverages like Spiked Warm Cider and Christmapolitans), skate on a synthetic ice surface, and much more.

Tinseltown’s Food and Beverage Offerings

The wintry landscape will offer a bevy of concession options, including festively-named food and beverage areas sure to satisfy all sorts of seasonal cravings. 

Tinsel Lodge will serve as the main concession venue with McTinsel’s Pub being the best place to cozy up with a holiday beverage.

Five other concession locations throughout the footprint include Candyland Hut, Rudolph’s Hut, Holly Jolly Hut, Polar Express Hut, and Jingle Bell Hut.  

Concession highlights include Buddy’s Maple Bourbon Chicken Ciabatta, Fa La La La Funnel Cake, Mrs. Claus’ Vegetarian Chili, Blitzen’s Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, Jingles Warm Caramel Popcorn and pre-made, gourmet s’mores. 

Those looking for a little something to warm themselves up can choose from a menu of holiday spirits including a Christmapolitan, Peppermint Bark Bubbles, and Spiked Warm Cider. Warm drinks for the kids include hot chocolate and warm cider.

Tinseltown’s Dates & Hours

Tinseltown will run from Black Friday (November 26) through January 2.   

Tickets for Tinseltown are limited and go on sale here.

Tickets start at $19.99 for adults and $13.99 for children under 13. Admission is free for children under five.

Just a short sleigh ride away from King of Prussia Mall, this illuminated wonderland will showcase breathtaking light sculptures and displays powered by more than 1.2 million light bulbs. 

Interactive Experiences 

Along the way, guests will find larger-than-life sculptures, including a 60-ft light tunnel, glowing baubles, and, of course, Santa’s sleigh.

Tinseltown will also showcase some of Philadelphia’s most beloved landmarks and personalities in lights; you’ll find a massive, walk-through Liberty Bell, illuminations representing Philly sports teams, and a few more holiday-inspired jawns  that guests are sure to love along the way.    

In addition to the lights, this wintry landscape will offer a selection of concession options where patrons can satisfy their seasonal cravings with culinary treats and holiday spirits.

Guests at Tinseltown will also be able to enjoy Mistletoe Marketplace, a vast artisan village where patrons can complete their holiday shopping list at a variety of vendor kiosks offering festive goods and unique holiday gifts such as hand-crafted ornaments, custom artwork, and wintertime clothing and decor.

Mistletoe Marketplace   

Tinseltown’s Mistletoe Marketplace will feature a collection of local vendors selling original art, seasonal treats, and other goods perfect for checking off your holiday shopping list.

Tinseltown will offer several unique and interactive experiences for all ages, including synthetic ice skating, photos with Santa, storytime with Mrs. Claus, and more.    

All ticket buyers will be required to select a designated arrival window when purchasing. Capacities are limited and sellouts are anticipated – patrons are encouraged to book their timed tickets early.   

 The winter wonderland event offers experiences like photos with Santa, a synthetic skating rink, holiday shopping, and an expansive offering of festive treats & seasonal beverages for both adults and kids    

Specialty Tickets   

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase specialty tickets for certain nights during Tinseltown’s run. The nights below are currently on sale with more to be announced soon:   

Waggin’ Wednesdays  

Each Wednesday during Tinseltown’s run, guests are welcome to bring along their furry canine  friends to join in the holiday festivities. On Waggin’ Wednesdays, our furry guests will have the chance to get their paws on a number of select giveaways including potty bag holders, bandanas and even more to bark about – **giveaways are limited to the first 20 dogs per entry time. On these special nights, owners can also get their dog’s photo taken with Santa by purchasing one of Tinseltown’s premium photo packages, which can be pre-purchased here.  

Gritty Thursdays  

Each Thursday, holiday goers and Philly sports fans alike can see Flyers’ mascot Gritty during their visit to Tinseltown. Those looking to get photos with Gritty, who will be dressed to the nines in his finest holiday threads, can visit his photo hut as part of Tinseltown’s Front Gate ticket package. Guests will have the opportunity to view and purchase their Front Gate photos at the end of their visit. 

Photo opportunities with Gritty will be limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sensory-Friendly Entry Times   

Tinseltown will host special, sensory-friendly entry times geared toward guests with autism and other sensory sensitivities. These designated times will have limited capacity and the volume of our holiday music will be lowered to make the atmosphere most comfortable for our guests during these discounted entry times.

Tinseltown opens starting Black Friday weekend (Friday, Nov. 26 – Sunday, Nov. 28, 5:00-10:00 p.m.) and then follows the below schedule:     

  • December 2 – December 16: Wednesdays – Sundays, 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.  
  • December 17 – January 2 Mondays –Sundays, 4:30 – 10:00 p.m.      

**Final entry time is 9 p.m., event space closes at 10 p.m.    

 Ample parking is available for FREE , just a short walk from the event space.

VIP parking is available for $5 and is conveniently located steps from Tinseltown’s entrance.
