Kelly’s Kidz, Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the community to provide children in local hospitals with toys, activities, and other essentials during their stay.  

Since 2012, Bob Kelly of FOX 29 has held multiple events to collect and deliver thousands of toys, pajamas, and socks year-round to local children’s hospitals.

By engaging hundreds of local businesses, schools, individuals, and communities for support, Bob Kelly and the community that has supported the Kelly’s Kidz mission over the last decade have overwhelmingly impacted hospital stays for thousands of children every year.

AVE has also organized toy and food drives at each of its residential properties to support families in the Greater Philadelphia community who need it most.

This year, the Plymouth Meeting-based, 5^th-generation, family-owned-and-operated real estate brand has teamed up with its long-time partner Move For Hunger, as well as Kelly’s Kidz and King of Prussia District to host a multi-faceted “Holiday Spirit of Giving” campaign to benefit community food banks and shelters, soup kitchens, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

“We feel it’s our responsibility to give back to the communities in which we do business,” says Lea Anne Welsh, president of AVE and COO of its parent company Korman Communities. “Our teams take great pride in our community programs, and I’m always moved by the incredible generosity of our team members, residents, and partners.”

AVE will be collecting food and toy donations at all five communities in the Greater Philadelphia Area through December 15.

They also will be hosting drop-off events for residents and partners including a “Giving Reception” at AVE King of Prussia on December 2 from 6-8 pm with special guest Bob Kelly, Philadelphia media personality and founder of Kelly’s Kidz, and a live performance by the Upper Merion High School Choir.

“We are so excited to partner with AVE, a place that so many call home in our area, to help collect toys for Saint Christopher’s Hospital for Children,” says Bob Kelly, founder of Kelly’s Kidz.

“Unfortunately, a lot of children will call the hospital home on Christmas morning, but the generosity of the AVE residents, team members, and partners will help put a smile on their face.”

Every Wednesday in November and December, Kelly’s Kidz will be hosting a Toy Drive event in the evening at a different Chickie’s and Pete’s location, with the intent to “fill the Taxi Crab” many times over with new toys for patients at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

Each group that brings toys will be offered a coupon for a FREE order of the famous Chickie’s and Pete’s Crabfries. This offer will remain until the last toy drive event this year on December 22nd at Chickie’s and Pete’s in Drexel Hill.
