Tours, tales, tricks, and treats will be featured — free of charge — on West Chester University campus for community members on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 4-6 PM.

Conjured for the entire family, the university’s “150 Spooky Stories Halloween Celebration” will provide just the right amount of spirited fun for G to PG-13 audiences. Bewitching activities will be held rain or shine and will be accessed via the Academic Quad, which is bound by South High Street, University Avenue, South New Street, and West Rosedale Avenue.

See a campus map.

As part of all the hocus pocus, the Academic Quad will be transformed by pumpkin decorating; trick or treat stations; frightfully fun lawn games; the Halloween sounds of the Zombie-Monster Marching Band, High Street Harmony A Capella, and WCUR-FM; and a performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s “Time Warp” by members of the WCU Theatre.

For all who dare, the ghouls and goblins of the WCU Theatre will also hold small guided tours in the basement of Recitation Hall, located at 35 West Rosedale Avenue, and Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, located at 700 South High Street.

The Downingtown Area Paranormal Investigators will even do a reading and reveal! ADA-accessible and age-appropriate tours will be available.
