Manzil Panchal, owner of East Norriton Pharmacy, has so far delivered more than 22,000 COVID-19 vaccines through mass clinics, home visits, and walk-in appointments, writes Beccah Hendrickson for the 6abc.

“Being an independent pharmacy, we were doing a thousand shot clinics in the area, so that way, by doing those clinics, we vaccinated quite a number of people,” he said.

Panchal’s small, three-aisled pharmacy located in a strip mall was among the first to start providing the vaccines in January.

Now, his store also offers testing for COVID-19 and booster shots for those who are immunocompromised.

Panchal, who is considered a giant in his community by many, has felt the devastating effects of COVID-19 in his own family.

He lost two of his loved ones to the deadly virus, which made him even more determined to do whatever he could to prevent others from feeling that pain.

“The only way to fight this disease is just the vaccine,” he said.

And while the last 18 months have been both physically and emotionally exhausting for him, Panchal said it was the people in his community who helped him push through.
