Montgomery County Community College recently launched its new podcast, ‘Montco on the Move,’ with co-hosts Molly Hafner, director of Marketing, and Jared Brown, assistant dean of Academic Affairs at the Pottstown Campus. Image via Eric Devlin, MCCC.

Join hosts Molly Hafner, director of Marketing, and Jared Brown, assistant dean of Academic Affairs at the Pottstown Campus, as they sit down to talk to the unique members of the MCCC community, and learn about each of their experiences at the College.

“There are so many inspiring stories out there from our Montco students, alumni, faculty, and staff, and more than anything, Jared and I want to authentically tap into those stories,” said Hafner. “It is clear that Montco transforms students’ lives—our goal is to try to unpack the details of that transformation in 15-minute interviews in order to show future students that they too can experience the same thing.”

“Sharing the work, accomplishments, initiatives, and most importantly the narratives of our guests is very powerful,” said Brown. “We have the opportunity to highlight what the Montco family is doing to enhance the student success experience both on campus and within our communities.”

Brown said he hoped to use the podcast to both educate and entertain listening audiences.

The first episode of “Montco on the Move” features Blessing Osazuwa, a 2020 graduate and music major. She started at Montco uncertain of what she wanted to do in life. Yet Osazuwa not only found her path, at MCCC she forged a path that led her to acceptance into an Ivy League university.

“Montco on the Move” is produced by MCCC Sound Recording and Music Technology (SRT) students under the guidance of David Ivory, director of Sound Recording and Music Technology.

“With ‘Montco on the Move,’ I am excited that we can share the fantastic stories of our students, faculty, staff, and community,” he continued. “Plus, our SRT students, along with David Ivory, will be producing the podcast, which offers valuable experience and resume building opportunities.”

The “Montco on the Move” podcast is free and available to download wherever podcasts are available.
