As the General Manager and Private Party Director at Spring Mill Cafe, in Conshohocken, which serves French country fare for dinner and Sunday brunch, Amanda Frangoulis is excited to work in the food industry. The historic property features the original Spring Mill general store and the picturesque converted farmhouse.

She is a 2006 graduate of Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School, Montgomery County, and then attended DeSales University in the Lehigh Valley and received her B.A. and also holds several professional certifications. 

Amanda Frangoulis credits her former manager, Carol, for the biggest impact on her career. “She was a true mentor and taught me so many invaluable lessons. Schools do not prepare graduates for the workforce, and I went into this position with little to no experience in a professional environment,” she notes. “What she taught me then has paid dividends now.”

Her proudest professional accomplishment was becoming an Audio Describer for individuals who have little to no vision. “An audio describer is someone who can provide highly detailed descriptions and sensory experiences,” she says. “I have Audio Described several performances for live theater.”

I grew up in Montgomery County and it will always be a home to me. Now as an employee in Montgomery County, it’s wonderful to return to my roots and get to know members and establishments of the community,” Amanda Frangoulis states. “I’m in the food and beverage industry, so I am a complete foodie. Favorite places include EBRU, From the Boot, and the Nook & Kranny Cafe.”
