Pottstown-based YWCA Tri-County Area Starts New Program for Women’s Entrepreneurship
YWCA Tri-County Area in Pottstown is offering a free online program called WE 360—Women’s Entrepreneurship 360—for women who are striving to run their own businesses, including women who are aspiring entrepreneurs of any age or full-time employees looking to start a business.
The program is designed to guide women through the process of starting, growing, and sustaining businesses. It provides them with educational tools that will help them increase their knowledge and confidence as entrepreneurs.
Women who join the self-directed WE 360 online course will receive support in turning their ideas into successful businesses with the help of the online consulting service Ureeka and will receive lifetime membership in the Ureeka community.
“WE 360 is a unique opportunity for female entrepreneurs,” said Jennie Jamieson, the program’s coordinator and an instructor at YW’s Adult Education and Training Center.
She added that the Ureeka online community and curriculum “is designed to help business owners at any level grow, find legitimate funding sources, and learn from mentors.”
Women who take part in WE 360 may also co-enroll in YW’s adult education or workforce navigation programs, including high school equivalency, English as a Second Language, and career preparation support.
An online assessment and registration form for the WE 360 course is available on the organization’s website.
