On Monday, May 3 the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) will welcome attendees at Bluestone Country Club!
The event will be starting with a hot air balloon at 11 a.m. to celebrate “The Power of Travel” before an outdoor rally for U.S. Travel’s National Travel & Tourism Week.
Please note everyone is maintaining socially distance guidelines and wearing masks.
The Power of Travel
The VFTCB team will welcome guests with remarks from VFTCB President and CEO Mike Bowman, Philadelphia PGA Executive Director Geoff Surrette, and a video message from APGA’s Cole Smith.
Besides the hot air balloon, and fun with Monty the Fox – the official mascot for Montgomery County – guests will also hear announcements about upcoming promotional events for both restaurants and Montco Makers like breweries, wineries, and distilleries.
Attendees will also hear about plans for the arts for the Power Of Travel.
Get Ready for Golf
Golfers (who include former and current members of the Eagles and the Flyers organizations) will enjoy food and beverage out on the course and play for a chance to win a car.
The VFTCB will also debut this year’s Golf Guide to celebrate the perfect social-distancing sport to get fresh air and exercise, and the county’s 50 historic and top-ranked courses.
Content includes interviews with local pros and budget-friendly courses. Also, there will be information on country club features and unique golf holes. Plus, don’t miss APGA Tour info and the Philadelphia PGA Centennial celebration.
In addition to socially distant seating, masks will be required for all guests, unless eating. The entire event will be outside. Please be mindful of mask requirements and social distancing for this event.
