Fort Washington-based Toll Brothers Takes on a Peach of a Project
Ft. Washington-based Toll Brothers, one of the nation’s largest residential developers, has decided to significantly increase the height of its latest Atlanta project, writes Dyana Bagby for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The developer plans to fill the now 37-story and 35-story towers with apartments and student housing.
The original plan from two years ago called for a 27-story apartment tower and a 22-story student housing tower.
The newly expanded buildings will include 376 apartments and 264 student housing units.
The project would be constructed in two phases. The apartment tower will be built first and the student tower next.
A nine-story parking deck would be constructed between the towers to include over 600 spaces. In addition the plan has 5,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor of the apartment tower. A patio for outdoor dining is also being considered.
Residential developers Toll Brothers acquired the 1.5-acre project site in one of the country’s top innovation districts for a little over $21 million.
The developer is already busy on other projects in Atlanta, including the construction of both homes and apartments in three separate locations.
