The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is still increasing nationwide and across the state, with some areas of Montgomery County including Harleysville and Pottstown (pictured above), affected more than others.

The latest numbers compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlight the rates of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending January 13 compared with infection rates for the seven days prior.

The highest percentage increase in Montgomery County during this period was recorded in ZIP Code 19438 (Harleysville). Here, the number of confirmed cases grew from 986 to 1111, or 13 percent.

ZIP Code 19464 (Pottstown) is next with an increase from 1947 to 2162, or 11 percent.

Meanwhile, ZIP Code 19040 (Hatboro/Horsham) also recorded a rise of 11 percent, going from 894 to 990 cases.

ZIP Code 18969 (Telford) and ZIP Code 18964 (Souderton) are also in the 11 percent range, growing from 678 to 754 cases and 659 to 732 cases, respectively.
