Visits to vineyards have proven to be remarkably pandemic-friendly, making this the perfect time to head out to some of the best wineries in the region possibly with lawn chairs and blankets in tow, writes Jenn Ladd for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
And those who would like to spend an afternoon sipping good wine while enjoying the view of grapevines do not have to travel far. For example, Karamoor Estate in Fort Washington is one of the best wineries in the region that are currently open to visitors.
At this time, the winery offers tours and tastings by reservation only. And while the large, full-on tasting room on the estate is still being built for future events, this means that visits for now are quite intimate and set on a balcony overlooking the vineyard.
The winery announces the available dates and any special events on its Instagram. These frequently also feature full-on tasting menus from a variety of local restaurants.
