A Chester County staple for more than 50 years, Highland Orchards in West Bradford Township is synonymous with all things fall, particularly apple cider donuts, which Highland bakes fresh every morning.

Highland often makes specialty donuts – like strawberry or pumpkin donuts and peach or blueberry donut holes – to coincide with the picking season. Due to the pandemic, it is now necessary to reserve a time to pick as Highland is reducing the number of people who can be on the property at the same time to ensure social distancing.

Its apple cider donuts can be bought at the bakery, which offers both indoor shopping and curbside pickup for preorders.

Just beyond the county line lies two more spots for delicious apple cider donuts: Weaver’s Orchard in Morgantown and Linvilla Orchards in Media. The former boasts a year-round farm stand where apple cider donuts are readily available. The latter offers – in addition to the donuts – a plethora of fun at its sprawling farm and agritainment complex.
