Lola’s Garden, the restaurant and lounge set to open in Ardmore’s Suburban Square in April, is preparing to woo customers with a menu that will blend the casual eats of Philadelphia’s Morgan’s Pier with the local and seasonal dishes on offer at Harper’s Garden, writes Caroline O’Halloran for the Savvy Main Line.
The establishment will also offer local craft beers, a wine list of only Pennsylvania wines, and handcrafted and batch cocktails.
The eatery will serve its offerings indoors at the old Kate Spade and Jack Wills spaces and outdoors at a trellised patio opposite Sephora. The outdoor area will feature all-season greenhouse-like spaces that will be heated and covered.
The design of the restaurant – named after the famous The Kinks song “Lola” – is being handled by Avram Hornik, owner of FCM Hospitality which will operate the new eatery.
The Main Line native who grew up in Merion Station is excited to see the “energy” and “exciting changes” that have arrived around the Square, like the new rail station and apartments.
