Conshohocken-based David’s Bridal has made online shopping more satisfying for future brides by adding 3D and augmented reality to its website, writes Sarah Mahoney for the Media Post.

The new features make it possible for customers to view gowns at a full 360-degree angle. They can also walk around in the dresses and see how they pair with bridesmaids’ dresses, as well as zoom in on gown details.

David’s Bridal is calling the new feature the most immersive experience in the bridal industry. It currently includes 50 of the retailer’s best selling dresses and it can be accessed right from the site.

This is only the latest in the line of digital-shopping feature the retailer has added as it attempts to adjust to a significantly different, pandemic-influenced world of weddings.

Previously, David’s Bridal along with virtual wedding stylist and Zoom virtual video appointments.

Recently the company has also worked on improving its digital game even before the pandemic. At the start of the year, including launching a series of tools for wedding planning, including vision boards, checklists, and website builders.
