Despite the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Abington is one of the 50 Best Places to Live in America, according to a new ranking published by Money.com.

To create the ranking, Money.com looked at cities and towns with a population of at least 25,000. They were then ranked based on their economy, housing market, cost of living, diversity, and public education, among other criteria.

Abington came in the top 20 in nineteenth place and is one of only two Pennsylvania towns to make the list.

According to Money.com, the town offers top-notch schools and several major employers nearby. This makes it a well of opportunity for all ages.

Additionally, the housing is relatively affordable, with the average home price hovering around $292,000. Thanks to this, close to three-quarters of the residents own their home.

The town also has plenty to offer on the cultural side, with its sculpture garden at Abington Art Center and the Briar Bush Nature Center’s museum and bird observatory.

Meanwhile, kids can enjoy Alverthorpe Park with its wading pool, playground, and more.
