The Abington Board of Commissioners is hosting a conditional use hearing next week to consider the construction of a nursing home facility on 1209 Rydal Road in Abington, writes Max Bennett for Patch.
Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC, the owners of the property, initially sought to build a residential complex of townhomes and duplexes, but now is seeking conditional use of the property to build a Life Care facility and a nursing home instead.
Conditional use approval would allow Chaverim to use the property in a different way than initially intended without the need to apply for rezoning, according to mysiteplan.com.
The hearing will be held on Monday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Penn State University, Sutherland Building Auditorium, 1600 Woodland Road, in Abington.
