Juice Dr., the Philadelphia subscription juice company, is expanding its business model with its first brick-and-mortar location in Ardmore, writes Laura Smythe for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Blue Pearl Café will launch on Saturday. Its vegan concept will feature the company’s staple cold-pressed juices alongside a full plant-based menu that will include coffee, overnight oats, gluten-free grain bowls, and salads. There will also be a spaghetti and “beetballs” option.

The café will be open every day from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M.

Juice Dr. owner FJ Leto has been working on his vision for the cafe for five years. His team began searching for the perfect location last year and found it in the 750-square-foot Main Line space. The café was originally planning to have a March opening before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

However, this new location is just the beginning fof the expansion plans of the company, as Leto plans to open a new brick-and-mortar location every year over the next five years.

The café was made possible through a $20,000 grant as well as public relations and promotional support provided by Ardmore Initiative.
