Bob Saget, an Abington High School graduate and Full House star, is hosting a new podcast where he offers both light and serious conversation with his guests and listeners, writes John Gonzalez for The Ringer.

In addition to the light humor he became famous for as longtime host of America’s Funniest Home Videos, the comedian has also done fearless and profanity-filled stand-up for decades.

And since April, he has added a title of podcast host to his resume with Bob Saget’s Here for You. Over the last several months, he has welcomed many celebrity guests on his show, including Judd Apatow, Jay Pharoah, Jeff Garlin, and Jon Hamm.

However now, in addition to delivering plenty of laughs, the conversations often turn heavy.

Recently, he spent over an hour chatting with Regina Hall about the importance of compassion and the failure of the nation’s political leadership during the pandemic.

“I’m trying to put more comedy into it because it gets kind of heavy,” said Saget. “Sometimes it’s hard to punch out of the paper bag and go, ‘Hey, here’s a funny joke.’”
