Katie and Greg Langton managed to buy their dream home in Wyndmoor just before the coronavirus outbreak put the brakes on the Philadelphia area’s busy spring housing market, writes Michaelle Bond for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The couple who lived in Hoboken, N.J., began searching for a house in the area earlier this year, so that they could move with their young children to an area that was closer to family.

However at the time, they were not planning on actually buying anything, just wanted a feel for what was available.

“But then our perfect dream house came on the market,” said Katie.

The old Tudor-style house was move-in ready and located in a cute neighborhood where inventory is always fairly limited.

The pair found their new home in early February and managed to close the deal on it last week.

“We sort of started off the process in normal times and mid-process everything kind of changed on us,” she said.

And considering the situation as a whole she added, the transaction process went fairly smoothly.

“We feel very lucky,” said Katie. “We know a lot of factors could have changed that.”
