Keystone Begins Transformation of Plymouth Meeting Mall Office into Luxury Apartments

Keystone Development is transforming a vacant Plymouth Meeting office building into Monarq, a 150-unit apartment community.

Keystone Development + Investment began converting a long-vacant office building next to the Plymouth Meeting Mall into a modern residential community, writes Kevin Tierney for More Than the Curve.

The project, named Monarq, will feature 150 apartment units and recently received conditional use approval from Plymouth Township.

According to Keystone’s website, the original 1970 structure is outdated but holds potential for a bold transformation. The new design aims to integrate sleek, modern aesthetics with green spaces, scenic views, and excellent walkability.

PREIT, which owns much of the property, also has plans for a residential community on the Whole Foods side, where the former IKEA office building once stood. While Plymouth Township adjusted zoning to allow apartments by conditional use, PREIT has yet to submit a formal application. The last publicized concept included 275 units.
