Wyndmoor’s Nicole Cashman Is Ready to Help Steer Philly into a Second Renaissance

By

Nicole Cashman of Cashman & Associates is known in the Philadelphia region as a public relations powerhouse and now she has been tapped to help bring Philly into its second renaissance, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc.

“Twenty-three years ago, I sat here, and I thought Philadelphia needs some excitement,” she said at an interview in her Wyndmoor home.

“It needs a focus on all the things that make us unique: the dining, the emerging hotels, the arts and culture, some of our really amazing nonprofits, fashion, beauty, retail. Philadelphia was under-hyped, under-promoted, under-appreciated.”

So that is what she has been doing for two decades, celebrating all the cool stuff in the city.

And now she has been tapped by Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker to be a part of her transition team as Vice Chair of the 2026 Preparation Sub-Committee.

2026 will be a big year for the city as it celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence.

“I think that the city is about to go into its second renaissance. For me to be able to be a part of that at a leadership level and help really steer that journey, that’s what’s motivated me every day,” Cashman said.
