Williams Sonoma, the popular retailer that sells kitchenware and home furnishings, opened a new store at the King of Prussia Town Center last week, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Williams Sonoma is the fourth tenant to join the retail property recently, after Spavia Day Spa, NovaCare Rehabilitation, and Kooma.
The newest tenant has 6,000 square feet in a prime corner at the center’s Main Street and Market Street. The company previously had a location at the King of Prussia Mall but decided last year to move it to the King of Prussia Town Center.
The retail center, which totals 263,423 square feet, has been a highly coveted spot for many businesses. Currently, it is 97 percent leased with only 7,896 square feet still vacant.
The new Williams Sonoma location had been intentionally saved by the retail center until the end since it is considered one of the best and is the face of the center’s Main Street.
And while the rents are not the same for all tenants, the retail center is getting around $50 per square foot.
